Today, the love-of-my-life, my best friend, and the biggest goof-ball I know (when nobody’s around) is 30! Four days ago was our 2nd wedding anniversary, and in two days I will be 23. This is quite the busy weekend for us! (Not to mention that my younger brother turns 18 today and my older brother turns 27 on Monday).
Because we haven’t yet decided what we’re doing for our extended 4-day weekend and are still sitting around at home, I thought I’d share a few pictures with you! ‘Cause everybody likes pictures, right? Good, that’s what I thought. Let’s take a trip back in time…
The pursuit…
This picture is Tim and me at the Sacramento airport. The poison oak on my face was starting to subside by then, so I just looked a little puffy. It was the second time we met, and we spent an entire week becoming interested in each other. Except that I claimed I wasn’t interested at all…but that’s a very long story…

Here we are backpacking (with Heather and Phil) in the Superstition mountains in Arizona. We spent Easter vacation running around Arizona, and it was quite the fun time.

By the end of the week, we had become officially “attached.” I told Tim I hated the word “boyfriend” so “attachment” was better. I’m glad that I eventually got over that.

The engagement…
Skip ahead almost one year, and we come to the proposal… We were driving up to visit my family and took a detour through some wineries in Sonoma. He (secretly) packed my little old beach cruiser in the trunk of the car, and we had fun riding around in the golden sunlight and taking pictures. These pictures were taken just before he proposed, and I was starting to get suspicious.

The wedding…
6 (long) months later, we were married! The ceremony and reception took place at a historic building called Hidden Chateau and Gardens in West Hills, Ca. I love Tim’s nice white shirt and suspenders. (Take note of Tim’s outfit here…)

The marriage…
On our 1st anniversary, we were in Kaua’i, and we went out for fancy dessert at a restaurant in Princeville. I love Kaua’i and I love the nice white shirt, tie, and suspenders.

And now we are current, up to date. This is our 2nd Anniversary (just 4 days ago). He took me out to a fancy dinner at the Cicada Restaurant at the Oviatt Building a historic art-deco building in Downtown L.A. Does Tim’s dinner outfit look familiar? I’m still lovin’ the nice white shirt, tie, and suspenders.

A few more 2nd anniversary pictures…just because I can.

And that’s a wrap! Happy birthday and Happy Anniversary to my hubby! (and my brothers and all the other million people who were August babies!)

OK #1 Your hair is super long and I love it. You should never chop it because long hair really suites you.
